By using Hostrina Kenya’s services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Agreement”), our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), and any related policies or legal documents incorporated herein by reference.
1. Overview
These Terms of Service constitute a binding agreement between you (“Customer”, “User”) and Hostrina Kenya (“Service Provider”, “we”, “us”, “our”) regarding the use of our web hosting, domain registration, and related online services (“Services”).
2. Entire Agreement
This Agreement, together with our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Domain Registration Agreement, represents the entire understanding between you and Hostrina Kenya. This Agreement is governed by the laws of Kenya.
3. Hosting Services
Hostrina Kenya provides web hosting services including disk space, bandwidth, domain hosting, email accounts, and databases as per the selected hosting plan. Payments are annual and prepaid. Additional resources such as extra storage or IPs can be purchased upon request.
4. Installation & Troubleshooting
We offer one-time technical assistance for site cleaning, installation of scripts or plugins, debugging, and manual migrations. This excludes custom coding or unsupported server configurations.
5. “Unlimited” Usage Policy
“Unlimited” features are intended for standard business use only. Any resource abuse or activities causing excessive load may result in suspension or termination.
6. Payments and Renewals
All hosting plans are billed annually. Payment verification may include a brief phone confirmation. Renewals apply automatically for PayPal or card payments unless cancelled through the Client Area. Prices are subject to change upon renewal.
7. Service Guarantees
We guarantee 99.9% uptime excluding downtime from third-party software, user errors, or maintenance beyond our control.
8. Activation and Expiration
- New accounts are activated after payment and verification.
- Renewals activate instantly after payment.
- Expired accounts remain suspended for 30 days before deletion.
- Domains follow ICANN renewal and redemption policies.
9. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate contact details, maintain account security, and promptly report unauthorized access. In case of death, proof of legal authority is required to access the account.
10. Server Usage & Content
Prohibited content includes illegal, obscene, or harmful material such as SPAM, phishing, malware, or hacking tools. We may delete infected files to protect server performance.
11. E-Commerce Websites
Users operating online stores are responsible for product accuracy, data protection, and compliance with tax and consumer laws.
12. Third-Party Dealings
Transactions between customers and third parties are solely between those parties. Hostrina Kenya is not liable for losses arising from such dealings.
13. Cancellation, Refund & Money-Back Policy
- Accounts are prepaid and cancellable anytime.
- Refunds apply only within 30 days of purchase under our Money-Back Guarantee.
- Domain registrations, renewals, and SSL certificates are non-refundable.
- Refunds are processed within 48 hours after approval.

14. Chargebacks
Chargebacks are treated as possible fraud. We will attempt contact before suspension. A Ksh. 4,000 (USD 30) administrative fee may apply for unjustified disputes.
15. Torturous Conduct
Abusive or threatening communication towards Hostrina staff (via ticket, email, or phone) will lead to immediate termination of services.
16. Changes to the Terms
Hostrina Kenya reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and continued use signifies acceptance.
