By using Hostrina Kenya services, you acknowledge that you have read our legal documents and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein, as well as all acceptable use policies incorporated by reference.

1. Agreement Overview

This Whois Privacy Protection Service Agreement (“Agreement”) defines the relationship between Hostrina Kenya and you (the “User”). By purchasing or using our Whois Privacy Protection Service (“IDP Services”), you agree to comply with all terms stated here, as well as any future modifications posted on our website. Continued use of the service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Service Description

When Whois Privacy Protection is enabled, your personal information (name, address, phone, and email) is replaced with Hostrina Kenya’s contact information in public Whois records. You retain full control of your domain and remain responsible for all legal and financial matters related to it.

  • Your domain retains its registration rights, DNS control, and renewal options.
  • Your private details remain hidden from public Whois lookups.
  • Hostrina Kenya may forward legitimate communications or legal notices to you.

3. Use and Restrictions

You agree not to use the Whois Privacy Service to engage in illegal or abusive activities, including but not limited to spamming, fraud, defamation, or copyright infringement. Hostrina Kenya reserves the right to suspend or terminate this service if abuse or policy violations are detected.

4. Personal Information Requirements

You must provide accurate and up-to-date contact details to Hostrina Kenya for all domains under Whois Privacy Protection. Failure to do so may result in service suspension. You must:

  • Keep your contact details current and valid.
  • Respond to Hostrina Kenya’s verification requests within five (5) business days.
  • Maintain valid email and phone contact for all domain communications.

5. Fees and Renewals

Whois Privacy Protection is billed on a yearly basis. Non-payment on the renewal date will result in suspension or termination of the service. Payments made via M-PESA, PayPal, or card are non-refundable once activated.

Administrative or recovery fees may apply in cases involving disputes, legal claims, or service reinstatement. Refunds are not provided for unused terms if your domain expires or is deleted.

6. Service Termination

Hostrina Kenya may terminate or suspend Whois Privacy Protection if:

  • The domain is used for illegal or abusive activities.
  • There is a court order or law enforcement request.
  • You violate Hostrina Kenya’s Terms of Service or ICANN policies.
  • Your contact information is invalid or unverified.

Upon termination, your real Whois information will be publicly visible until the issue is resolved.

7. Communication Forwarding

Hostrina Kenya may review and forward legitimate communications received through the Whois Privacy email address to your registered contact email. Spam or promotional mail will not be forwarded. You must respond to forwarded messages within 72 hours when requested, or your Whois Privacy service may be suspended.

8. Limitation of Liability

Hostrina Kenya shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or loss of the Whois Privacy Service. The maximum liability of Hostrina Kenya shall not exceed the amount paid for the current term of the service.

Hostrina Kenya is not responsible for misdelivery, delays, or disclosure of data caused by technical issues, unauthorized access, or external factors beyond our control.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hostrina Kenya, its employees, partners, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from your use of the Whois Privacy Service, including legal fees and damages.

10. Term and Modifications

This Agreement remains in effect for as long as your Whois Privacy Service is active. Hostrina Kenya reserves the right to update or modify this Agreement at any time, with immediate effect upon posting to our website. Continued use of the service signifies your acceptance of the updated terms.
