From Design to Hosting — Our Transition From Ridenarland Net Agencies to Hostrina (2019–2020)

By 2019, the demand for reliable hosting solutions among our clients had become impossible to ignore. Many small businesses we designed websites for struggled with slow performance, downtime, and inadequate support. To address this, we became a hosting reseller and began offering hosting services to our existing clients, marking the beginning of our evolution.

The Birth of Hostrina

As our hosting services expanded, it became clear that Ridenarland Net Agencies no longer reflected our new direction. The name Hostrina was born by merging:

• HOST — representing our new HOSTing identity
• RINA — derived from RIdenarland Net Agencies

On December 24, 2019, we registered our new domain: hostrina.com. Shortly after, we officially registered Hostrina Kenya under THE REGISTRATION OF BUSINESS NAMES ACT (Cap 499, Section 14) on March 23, 2020.

Growing Through COVID-19 Challenges

Despite the global pandemic, we pushed forward as more businesses needed to establish an online presence. We became a trusted provider of:

• Domain names
• Fast, reliable hosting
• Digital consultation

December 24, 2020 — Becoming a Full Hosting Company

Exactly one year after registering our domain, we achieved another milestone: transitioning from reseller hosting to a fully independent hosting company and domain registrar. Our services now included:

• Independent hosting infrastructure
• Automated WHMCS provisioning
• Domain registration services
• Professional web development

This transformation marked the beginning of a stronger, more reliable Hostrina, ready to serve Kenya and the world.
