Domain Name Registration Agreement

This Domain Name Registration Agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing domain registration, renewal, and management with Hostrina Kenya. By registering or managing a domain through Hostrina Kenya, you agree to comply with this policy, our Terms of Service, and all ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) regulations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a domain name registration request through Hostrina Kenya, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms stated herein. This agreement becomes effective upon successful payment and confirmation of the domain registration.

2. Domain Registration Process

All domain registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Hostrina Kenya acts as a registrar or intermediary registrar, depending on the domain extension (TLD). Domain availability is not guaranteed until payment is confirmed and registration is successful.

3. Domain Ownership

The person or entity listed as the Registrant in the WHOIS record is considered the legal owner of the domain. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that accurate and updated contact details are provided during registration.

Hostrina Kenya does not claim ownership of domains purchased by clients and will facilitate domain management as per the client’s instructions.

4. Domain Renewal Policy

Domain renewals are billed automatically before expiry, provided that the customer’s account has sufficient funds or active billing setup. Failure to renew before the expiry date may lead to domain suspension, redemption, or permanent loss.

  • Renewals must be completed before the expiration date.
  • Expired domains may enter a “Redemption Period” during which restoration fees apply.
  • Hostrina Kenya is not liable for loss of domains due to non-renewal or incorrect contact information.

5. Domain Transfers

Customers may transfer domains to or from Hostrina Kenya at any time, provided that the domain is not within 60 days of initial registration or a recent transfer. All transfers require valid EPP/auth codes and registrar approval.

Hostrina Kenya will not obstruct transfers, except in cases involving fraud, unpaid invoices, or policy violations.

6. WHOIS Information and Privacy

Accurate WHOIS details are mandatory under ICANN policy. Providing false or incomplete information may result in domain suspension or deletion. Customers may opt for WHOIS privacy protection to conceal personal contact details where supported.

7. Pricing and Payments

All domain prices are displayed in Kenyan Shillings (Ksh) and are subject to change without prior notice due to registry or exchange rate updates. Payment is required before domain activation, and all fees are non-refundable once the domain is successfully registered.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

Domains are non-refundable once registered or renewed, as per ICANN and registry policies. Customers may cancel a pending order before registration, in which case any payment will be refunded according to our Refund Policy.

9. Suspension and Termination

Hostrina Kenya reserves the right to suspend or terminate domain services for reasons including but not limited to abuse, non-payment, or violation of ICANN or registry policies. Suspended domains may not be transferred or modified until reinstated.

10. Limitation of Liability

Hostrina Kenya is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from domain registration, renewal, or loss. The company’s maximum liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for the domain service in question.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising under or related to this Agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
